Another summer getaway trip in August. This time I’m off to Chiang mai, Thailand for five days four night. Heard a lot of good things about Chiang mai before heading there. Chiang mai located in the northern part of Thailand, it is also the home of hundreds Buddhist temples. It has a complete different vibes from Bangkok, more relax and zen.
One of the european cities I felt warm welcomed, convenient and almost wanted to stay and live there. Went there during November, the weather was a bit chill but still warmer than the northern part of France. I could feel the bustling, buoyant and exciting night life of Amsterdam at the very moment I step out of the train station.
Thanks to my dear friend, the hotel we booked was situated right in the center of everything. 1st thing after dropping of our luggages -red light district. Since it was a weekend, It’s totally packed with tourists. Perfect walk after dinner 🙂
No luxury hotels, no staying overnight, no shows, no gambling, no crazy shopping and no las vegas style buffet and clubbing in Macau. We ended up with a East meet West historic walking tour in Macau on the Chinese National Day. The whole tour took around 3-4 hours ( includes occasion stops and rest)
We had a Portuguese feast before we start the tour at Restaurante ESACADA . People recommended many dishes on openrice, but my favorites are African Chicken and Fries with cod fish <-Must have!! Nice ambiance, wish the price is more friendly.
2. St. Augustine Square
This is my all time favorite restaurant in Beijing. When you first walked in to the restaurant, you would felt like you are back to ancient times in China, perhaps the Qing dynasty. Great ambiance, good services and excellent food! Have to visit the restaurant every time I came back to Beijing. Nothing too fancy, but every dish that they made let you feel like you are eating at home and would like to return for the same dish again. The place can be a bit noisy sometimes, but it’s great for family/ friends gathering. If you ever visit Beijing, this is the restaurant you should try.
