It’s been long! Spring seems to be finally arriving. During the past months, I have tried several new products and would love to share them with you.
1. Dr. Jart+ Dermaclear Micro-Foam
This is my current daily cleanser. Once you pad your hands with this product and water, it will turn into a gentle, dense foam. Personally, I am not a fan of bubble foams but this product resembles a texture of mousse. I usually used it with my Foreo luna to help cleanse out small and difficult to reach areas. Will I recommend it to people with sensitive skin? It’s a 100% yes.
2. Foreo luna 2 & Play
I bought the play set first ( it comes with a small travel size cleanser ) during Christmas and I found it surprisingly useful when using it around nose, forehead or hairline areas. I immediately bought the rechargeable Luna 2 after it went out of battery. I have used Clarisonic before, stopped and went back to manual mode for 2 years. There are three main reasons that lure me into purchasing another facial cleansing device: 1) Anti-bacteria silicon texture, 2) less ‘harsh’ than brushes, 3) portable.
3. Durance Moisturising and mattifying day care for combination skin ( with organic lavender essential oil)
Combination skin is difficult to deal with, especially when choosing a daily face cream product for dry seasons. Gels are too light and creams are too thick to absorb. I tried out this durance moisturizing cream, more of a lotion based, to see if it fits with my unstable facial skin condition at that time. I don’t like facial products with scent or perfumes, but I guess lavender is an exception. This product is completely made of organic materials.
4. Placentor vegetal Moisturizing fluid ( Normal to Combination skins)
This is a good product for spring and summer. The fluid would be too light for winter but could be used during the day with you need to reapply moisturizers. It has zero parabens and is plant based.
5. Dr. Jart + Every Sun day SPF 50+ high protection
`I’m still using this and nearly at the last tip of it. Its non-oily texture good for all seasons of the year I would say. It is SPF 50 with PA+++, which could cover almost every daily activities. I would definitely repurchase this when I visit Asia.
6. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour® Cream Lip Protectant Stick Sunscreen SPF 15
This lip protectant stick is one of my top 3 favorite lip moisturizing products. I also have its lip balm cream. If you have dry lips and don’t have a particular preference, I would recommend getting this product. It is way better than Burt’s bee or EOS.
7. Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash
My first Aesop product !!! I have always wanted to try something from Aesop but have no idea what to buy. I ran out of handsoap last month and thought this would a great opportunity to get one from Aesop. I absolutely love their packaging, simple yet warm. The container is made of glass instead of plastic, which saves you from buying your own handwash bottle. It is a bit pricey but totally worth it.
8. Dr. Jart + Dermaclear Micro-foam Clay Set
A set of 3 clay masks ( Green, White, Red) to solve different skin issues. The Clay is all in white, the colors on the packaging are just for the purpose of differentiation. If I remember it correctly, red is for moisturizing; green stands for detox & anti-acne; and white is to calm your skin. I have been using the green and white one for 3 to 4 times now. It is very easy to clean it off. When you start cleansing, it turns into similar texture as the Dr. Jart cleanser I mentioned earlier.
Stay tuned for my next post on food in Paris,
