“De Madrid al cielo y un agujerito para verlo”
From Madrid to heaven, and in heaven a little window from which to see it.
I love love love Madrid, the people and the food. One weekend trip is way to short, I have put in it on my place-to-revisit list. There would still be a lot to do in Madrid. The weather wasn’t too great when we were there, a bit gloomy and chill. Nevertheless, it doesn’t stop us from enjoying this beautiful city. Sometimes it’s just the matter of perspective. Unexpected things could sometime helps you discover something new and fun.
Nothing could be better than spending the slow Saturday morning in Museo del Prado. It was recommended by a few friends. It has quite a large collection reflecting the Spanish royal life.
Enjoying coffee, tea and breakfast on the balcony, of course and playing with the cat.
Been to lots of different places that friends recommend for food in Madrid. In fact, many small cafe or restaurants around the street corners are very pleasant. Never forget to check out the food market – Mercado de San Miguel.
Any photos you take in El Retiro Park could be on Instagram.
I also like the long days in Madrid, the city is still very lively and energetic after 11pm. You have this feeling that you can take advantage of these extra hours.
Till next time,
